About this Activity
"a ha!" Moments have been designed to inspire students to cultivate what we call an Amazing Hospitality Attitude. They are short motivational videos that further enhances each soft skill allowing them to see the difference they can make by implementing what they have learned in this course. They are a favorite with our AHA World Campus students.
Habits to Live By
The Lesson

The video reminds us that the “simple truths” we live by—like honesty, kindness, responsibility, and perseverance—are not just personal values; they’re also the foundation of soft skills. Employers and leaders often say they can train someone on technical tasks, but they can’t easily teach traits like integrity, teamwork, or communication. These are learned through consistent habits practiced daily.

For example, when you develop the habit of showing up on time, you are building reliability. When you practice listening before speaking, you strengthen communication and respect. When you commit to finishing what you start, you demonstrate work ethic and professionalism.

The real message of the video is this: your habits become your character, and your character shapes your opportunities. Living by these simple truths is how you turn soft skills from abstract “traits” into lived actions that others can trust and rely on.
