The Skill Builder Self Assessment Activities come next. Knowing oneself is the best bit of advice we can give students to help them find a career they are passionate about and makes them happy. A satisfying career engages their heart as well as their mind. Through a series of personal assessments, students will learn about their likes and dislikes, their values, their interests, what they do well so much more. Some of the Skill Builder responses will help populate their Go Plan found in Part three. Teachers have the flexibility to add additional skill builder activities should they want to enhance the module topic.
Who am I Inventory
Accepting and liking who and what you are is an essential part of being your best self. To get to know yourself, you first have to peel away your outer layers and discover what's inside. When you do this you will find:
You have your own values, opinions, and beliefs
You have anxieties and fears
You think and learn in special ways
You have your own personality
You have special interests, unique talents, and dreams.
In this Skill Builder, take a good look at yourself. What do you see? After completing the following, it is our hope that you have a more clear and complete view of the person you are at this point in time. Answer each question as honestly as you can. Some answers will be added to your Go Plan so take your time and use this time to brag a little bit on yourself.
To do good things in the world, first you must know who you are and what gives meaning in your life.
